Ambarella slides as analysts anticipate slower rev growth

Shares of Ambarella fell 2.2% on Thursday ahead of quarterly results after the bell, with investors watching for a slowdown in revenue growth.
The semiconductor company is expected to report quarterly revenue up 13% to $107.8 million, which would be the slowest growth since July 2024, according to LSEG. Analysts see adjusted EPS at $0.17 versus $0.15 a year ago.
The stock has declined about 7% year to date, underperforming the Nasdaq's 14% rise.
The stock is about 70% below its record high close of $216.84 reached on December 8, 2021.
Ambarella recently traded at 68 times expected earnings, per LSEG data.
Of thirteen analysts covering the stock, seven rate it 'buy' or 'strong buy' and six rate it 'hold'.
