AMC’s Fathom Entertainment will theatrically release the documentary The Story of Everything nationwide April 30–May 6, potentially boosting Q2 venue attendance with a limited-event run. The film presents new cosmology and molecular biology evidence for Intelligent Design, with executive producers Lee Strobel and Brian Bird attached.

1. Release Details

Fathom Entertainment, owned by AMC Entertainment, will distribute The Story of Everything in over 2,000 theatres nationwide from April 30 to May 6, with tickets on sale beginning March 13. The event-style run follows Fathom’s model for specialty content and aims to generate concentrated foot traffic during the week-long engagement.

2. Documentary Content

The Story of Everything explores cutting-edge discoveries in cosmology, physics and molecular biology to argue for Intelligent Design, featuring commentary from Dr. Stephen C. Meyer, Jay W. Richards, John Lennox and other scholars. The 90-minute film traces evidence from star formation to DNA architecture to challenge purely naturalistic origin theories.

3. Production Team

Produced by Brian Bird (When Calls the Heart) alongside Jason Pamer and Jens Jacob of Sypher Studios, the project secured backing from the Discovery Institute. Executive producers include Lee Strobel, Paul and Monica Kepes, Karl and Nelda Buckman, Jef Sewell and co-executive producer Ted Robinson.

4. Potential Revenue Impact

This limited theatrical engagement leverages Fathom’s specialty distribution network to drive incremental attendance and premium ticket sales at AMC locations. Successful engagement could bolster non-blockbuster programming revenues and reinforce AMC’s event cinema strategy.
