AMD•AMD plans to substantially increase chip supply in 2027 as it works to meet strong AI demand, CEO Lisa Su said. The company is planning three to five years ahead and seeking more advanced wafer capacity.

AMD plans to substantially increase chip supply in 2027, CEO Lisa Su said in Taipei. She said the company had increased supply through 2026 and was planning three to five years ahead to meet very high demand for the next several years.
2. Capacity and partners
Su said her Taiwan visit included discussions with local partners about ramping up CPU and GPU production. She met Foxconn and was due to meet TSMC, and said AMD was working closely with memory chipmakers to secure sufficient supplies.
3. AI and safety
Su said AMD needs more advanced wafer capacity to meet demand. She also said AI could be “incredibly good for the world,” while stressing that companies must remain mindful of risks and work together on AI safety.
