She introduced the Ryzen AI Halo processor for local device inference, signaling AMD’s strategy to decentralize AI workloads. The event focused heavily on enterprise-scale solutions, positioning AMD not just as a PC and gaming player but as a credible challenger in high-performance AI computing. AMD unveiled its Helios rack-scale platform powered by Instinct MI455X accelerators, touting up to three AI exaflops of performance per rack. To illustrate scale, AMD compared this to the industry’s existing capacity of nearly 100 zettaflops. The Helios blueprint is designed for “yotta-scale” infrastructures, targeting workloads that demand quintillions to septillions of operations per second, and directly challenging competitors’ dominance in AI acceleration. Building on its November strategy, AMD reaffirmed an 80% annualized growth target for its AI data center hardware business and a 35% companywide revenue CAGR. In the third quarter ending September, its data center segment grew 22% year-over-year without the Helios system or MI455X accelerators, driven by fifth-generation Epyc processors and MI350 series GPUs. This early momentum supports investor confidence that AMD’s ambitious growth objectives are achievable.
