Ameren Illinois storm restoration in the Bloomington-Normal area faced disruption from heavy rainfall, with more than 5 inches reported in some communities.

Crews restored more than 50,000 outages since Aug. 13; more than 900 resources remained deployed, with wet conditions slowing work.
The utility targeted restoring 80% of remaining Bloomington-Normal outages by 6 p.m. Saturday under its posted estimated safe restoration time.
