Ameresco Completes Rooftop Solar Array at Community College of Philadelphia
AMRC•Ameresco has installed a new rooftop solar array at the Community College of Philadelphia campus, expanding its clean energy portfolio in the Mid-Atlantic region. The project, delivered under a long-term energy savings performance contract, will supply renewable power to the college and reduce annual operating costs.
1. Installation Scope and Technology
Ameresco deployed a rooftop photovoltaic system on multiple buildings at the Community College of Philadelphia campus. The array integrates high-efficiency solar panels and inverters to maximize energy yield while minimizing roof load and maintenance requirements.
2. Financing and Performance Contract
The project was executed under an energy savings performance contract, enabling the college to fund the installation through guaranteed energy cost reductions. Ameresco will monitor system performance over the contract term and share savings with the college as stipulated in the agreement.
