America Movil completes purchase of Brazil's Desktop
AMX•America Movil's Brazilian unit completed its purchase of a 72.83% stake in broadband provider Desktop for 1.75 billion reais ($334.78 million) and plans to file a tender offer for the remaining shares.

America Movil's Brazilian unit said the deal is aimed at expanding its fixed broadband business and will lead to changes in Desktop's structure and management. The unit plans to file for a unified tender offer to buy the remaining shares.
