American Superconductor posted Q1 FY2026 revenue up 30% year over year to USD 94.1 million, exceeding USD 90 million for the first time.
Net income rose 41.1% to USD 9.5 million, lifting GAAP EPS to USD 0.21.
Operating cash flow more than doubled to USD 16 million, while total orders topped USD 130 million and 12-month backlog exceeded USD 300 million.
Outlook and demand drivers
CEO Daniel P. McGahn cited demand led by utility-sector mining developments and traditional energy markets, adding the company expects gross margin improvement in the second half.
For Q2, AMSC forecast revenue above USD 85 million, net income above USD 1 million, and non-GAAP net income above USD 8 million.
