New Jersey American Water finalized the $6.4 million purchase of Hopewell Borough's municipal water system, adding 930 customer connections to its New Jersey portfolio.
2. Planned Infrastructure Investments
The company will allocate $7 million over the next five years to replace lead and galvanized steel service lines, upgrade meters, fire hydrants and water mains, and decommission the PFAS-affected well.
3. Strategic Growth and Service Enhancements
This tenth acquisition in five years expands American Water's footprint in the state, enhances service reliability for approximately 3 million customers and supports its commitment to delivering safe, clean, reliable and affordable water services.
