The American Water Charitable Foundation pledged $250,000 to the American Red Cross under its Disaster Relief Grant Program as part of the Disaster Responder Program membership. Since 2012, the Foundation has invested over $25 million across grants and matching gifts supporting Water, People and Communities pillars nationwide.

This proactive commitment as a Disaster Responder Program member ensures rapid resource deployment, volunteer training and infrastructure support for disaster-affected communities across the U.S.
2. Foundation’s Giving Pillars and History
Established by American Water in 2012, the Foundation focuses on three pillars—Water, People and Communities. To date it has invested over $25 million through grants and matching gifts to eligible organizations in territories served by American Water.
3. Military and Employee Engagement
In addition to disaster relief, the Military Services Group awarded State Strategic Impact grants to support Red Cross Services to the Armed Forces. Employee volunteers further bolster the partnership via blood drives, board service and regional initiatives to aid military members and veterans.
