Amgen said participating laboratories saved an estimated 5,000 kWh of energy daily through sustainable cold storage practices. A manufacturing process redesign reduced waste by more than 80% and could avoid 90 metric tons annually at peak demand. The company also said an electric transport pilot in the Netherlands could cut annual CO2 emissions by up to 100 metric tons using on-site renewable energy.
