The company exited its Colorado facility by settling $110 million in long-term obligations for $20 million, shifting to a capital-light manufacturing model with contract partners to scale production and improve unit economics.

4. Contract Wins and Customer Expansion

Amprius expanded its customer base to over 550 logos, leveraged a Fremont pilot line for early-stage design wins, and secured a $14.8 million Defense Innovation Unit contract to accelerate NDAA-compliant cell production ahead of 2028 sourcing mandates.
