HKD•AMTD IDEA and AMTD Digital agreed to acquire the 9,646 sq ft Grade A office tower at 40 Furnival Street, London, for US$17 million. Funded without external financing, the property will serve as global headquarters for AMTD, The Art Newspaper and L’Officiel, bolstering its UK presence near Farringdon station.
1. Acquisition Agreement
AMTD IDEA and AMTD Digital have entered into a definitive agreement to purchase the office tower at 40 Furnival Street, London. The transaction values the 9,646 square foot Grade A property at US$17 million and is expected to close in the near future.
2. Property Features and Location
The building comprises lower ground, ground and five upper floors plus a roof terrace, offering high-quality office and ancillary accommodation. Situated within 100 meters of Chancery Lane station and a short walk from Farringdon’s Elizabeth line interchange, it lies in one of London’s most dynamic commercial districts.
3. Strategic Objectives and Financing
The acquisition will be funded entirely from internal resources without drawing on the previously announced term loan facility. Upon completion, the tower will host global headquarters for AMTD, The Art Newspaper and L’Officiel, strengthening the group’s UK footprint in a prime transport hub.
