AMTD Digital’s TGE Buys Ritz-Carlton Perth for US$72M and Upper View Regalia Hotel for US$38M
HKD•TGE, a subsidiary of AMTD Digital, acquired a 50% stake in The Ritz-Carlton Perth for US$72 million, with the hotel valued at US$201 million, and secured super majority interests in Malaysia’s Upper View Regalia Hotel for US$38 million. These deals expand AMTD’s hospitality portfolio to nearly 1,000 rooms globally.
1. Ritz-Carlton Perth Acquisition
TGE completed its acquisition of a 50% interest in The Ritz-Carlton Perth for US$72 million, with the property valued at US$201 million. The 205-room hotel in the Elizabeth Quay development features luxury amenities including a spa, infinity pool, and versatile event spaces.
2. Upper View Regalia Hotel Acquisition
TGE secured super majority interests in the 129-room Upper View Regalia Hotel in Kuala Lumpur for US$38 million. Located in the city’s main commercial district, the property offers a signature rooftop infinity pool and will undergo comprehensive renovation under the AMTD brand.
3. Expansion of Hospitality Portfolio
These acquisitions bring AMTD’s global hospitality portfolio to nearly 1,000 rooms across key markets in Australia and Malaysia. The transactions reinforce AMTD’s strategic focus on premium assets and long-term commitment to growth in the hospitality sector.
