Amylyx signs Bachem manufacturing deal for avexitide supply starting 2028

Amylyx said it signed a manufacturing and supply agreement with Bachem Americas to produce avexitide drug substance for commercial use, if approved.
The company also entered a term sheet with Polypeptide Group for a second non-exclusive supply source covering long-term avexitide needs starting in 2028.
According to the announcement, the Polypeptide deal includes a $30 million upfront capacity reservation fee, subject to a definitive manufacturing agreement.
The Bachem agreement sets annual minimum purchase commitments from 2028, with prices adjusted yearly for cost inflation. It runs for five years with automatic three-year renewals, and both suppliers are non-exclusive, allowing alternate manufacturers.
