Follow-up study met both main goals
Drugmaker ANI Pharmaceuticals ANIP.O says its implant met both main goals in a follow-up study in chronic non-infectious uveitis, a recurring inflammatory eye disease that can cause vision loss.
Trial showed patients gained an average of 3.6 letters in visual acuity, a measure of eyesight, after six months of treatment with Iluvien.
ANI says it also significantly reduced retinal swelling, meeting the study's other main goal.
