Anthropic’s Claude now provides 10 AI agents and integrates with Microsoft 365, letting users draft credit memos, build Excel models, and edit Word documents via the new Claude Opus 4.7. That push doubled clients spending $1 million annually and lifted its run-rate from $9 billion to $30 billion.

1. Product Enhancements

Anthropic introduced 10 customizable AI agents for financial tasks such as drafting credit memos, building pitchbooks, auditing statements and conducting market research. The new Claude Opus 4.7 model, said to outperform its predecessor, is now accessible within Microsoft 365 apps including Excel and Word.

2. Expanded Connectivity

The platform added connectors to data providers Third Bridge, IBISWorld, Guidepoint, Dun & Bradstreet and Fiscal AI, plus a Model Context Protocol for Moody’s credit ratings. These integrations allow real-time market and research data to feed directly into AI workflows on Microsoft’s productivity suite.

3. Enterprise Growth

Anthropic’s enterprise push doubled the number of clients spending at least $1 million annually from 500 to over 1,000 in two months. Its 2026 revenue run-rate surged from $9 billion to more than $30 billion, underscoring strong demand for AI-powered financial tools.

4. Strategic Outlook

Integration with Microsoft 365 positions Claude as a competitive alternative to other AI offerings in the software industry. Anthropic is exploring a potential initial public offering as early as October, highlighting its rapid ascent in enterprise AI.
