Anthropic Tops $30B Run Rate, Secures 3.5 GW Broadcom-Google Compute Deal
Anthropic PBC's revenue run rate jumped to $30 billion from $9 billion at end-2025, with over 1,000 enterprise customers each spending more than $1 million annually. A 2027 partnership with Broadcom and Google will deliver 3.5 GW of TPU-based compute capacity as an alternative to Nvidia chips.
1. Anthropic Run Rate Growth
Anthropic PBC’s annualized revenue run rate soared to $30 billion from $9 billion at the end of 2025, driven by accelerated adoption of its Claude AI services. Over 1,000 business customers now each commit more than $1 million per year, more than doubling the count since February.
2. Broadcom-Google Compute Agreement
Starting in 2027, Anthropic will tap into 3.5 gigawatts of computing capacity through a long-term pact with Broadcom and Google using tensor processing units. The deal includes a supply assurance agreement through 2031 and aims to scale infrastructure without relying on Nvidia’s chips.
3. Competitive Implications for Nvidia
Broadcom’s development of TPU-based AI chips positions it as a direct alternative to Nvidia in high-performance compute markets. With Broadcom projecting $100 billion in AI chip sales next year, Nvidia could face intensified competition for enterprise AI workloads.
