1. AWS Cloud Loop Raises Revenue Concerns
Filings show Anthropic billed $2.66 billion in AWS credits over nine months, then consumed those same credits for model training. This round-trip mechanism added roughly $16.8 billion to Amazon’s net income, casting doubt on the sustainability and quality of reported cloud growth.
2. Amazon Launches Supply Chain Services for Third-Party Clients
On May 4, Amazon opened its warehouses, trucks and delivery network to outside brands through Amazon Supply Chain Services. Early customers such as Procter & Gamble and 3M gain access to Amazon’s logistics infrastructure, creating a new revenue stream beyond traditional e-commerce sales.
