Aon unit NFP acquired Frontier Risk Group’s retail cannabis insurance business to expand cannabis and life sciences capabilities.
The deal adds sector-specific insurance expertise for a highly regulated market, strengthening NFP’s life sciences platform.
Frontier Risk will shift focus to scaling Strata Specialty, its multi-program manager for risk transfer and credit support solutions.
Eric Schneider will join NFP as senior vice president, reporting to Healthcare and Life Sciences practice leader Scott Foster.
