APA•APA Corporation agreed to acquire Savant Alaska for $70 million upfront plus contingent payments, securing the Badami facility (40,000 bpd), Nutaaq Pipeline (80,000 bpd), camp infrastructure and barge landing. The deal adds 104,000 gross acres and 1,500 bpd of production to support 2026–2027 exploration and appraisal.
1. Acquisition Details
APA Corporation will acquire Savant Alaska for $70 million upfront plus additional contingent payments tied to future eastern North Slope developments, with the transaction expected to close by year-end 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing adjustments.
2. Infrastructure Assets
Included in the deal are the Badami facilities with 40,000 bpd nameplate capacity, extensive camp and field infrastructure—including accommodation, grind-and-inject and barge landing systems—and the Nutaaq Pipeline capable of transporting 80,000 bpd to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System.
3. Production and Acreage
The transaction adds approximately 104,000 gross acres—bringing APA’s eastern North Slope position to about 487,000 acres—and secures production of roughly 1,500 bpd through interests in the Badami and Grey Owl units, plus non-unitized adjacent acreage.
4. Development Plans
APA assumes operatorship of the existing joint venture with Lagniappe and Oil Search partners and plans a two-well winter 2026–2027 program, comprising one exploration well to test a new play and one appraisal well to define the Sockeye complex and leverage acquired infrastructure.
