Applied Optoelectronics received an initial volume order exceeding $200 million from a long-term hyperscale customer, with shipments beginning in early Q3 2026 and completion targeted for Q4 2026, restoring that customer to over 10% of total revenue.
2. Production Capacity Expansion
The company plans to leverage its existing Taiwan manufacturing base and a new facility in Sugar Land, Texas, to boost combined 800G and 1.6T transceiver output to more than 500,000 units per month by the end of this year.
