Aptevo Therapeutics publishes presentation on tumor-targeted CD40 immunotherapies
APVO•Aptevo Therapeutics published a presentation on multispecific antibody-like molecules designed to address immunosuppression in solid tumors. Cell-culture studies found tumor-cell killing by APVO451 and APVO452 exceeded that of bispecific controls.
1. Presentation findings
Aptevo Therapeutics said APVO451 and APVO452 showed greater tumor-cell killing than bispecific controls in cell-culture studies using an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. APVO451 also stimulated exhausted T cells to kill tumor cells, while APVO711 combined PD-L1 blockade with tumor-dependent CD40 activation and enhanced tumor-cell killing when used with T-cell engagers.
