Arbe Robotics’ tier-1 unit Sensrad entered a collaboration with VirtuRail to add 4D imaging radar to automated tunnel service vehicles.
VirtuRail will integrate Sensrad’s Hugin D1 radar and Oden Drive perception software into its ADAS stack, which currently relies mainly on cameras and LiDAR.
The radar is intended to improve redundancy and maintain perception in low-visibility tunnel conditions such as dust, smoke, or darkness.
