AGX•SMC acquires ValCor to expand Teledata operations
Argan’s Southern Maryland Cable acquired Connecticut-based ValCor Communications, expanding its Teledata operations into New England.
The transaction closed July 31, 2026, with initial consideration of about $8.3 million funded with cash and Argan common stock.
ValCor provides installation, maintenance and repair services for information, communication and data networks across New England.
The deal adds exposure to defense, aerospace and technology customers, strengthening Southern Maryland Cable’s positioning in the region.
