The purchase signals selective institutional interest in Lilly’s late-stage pipeline amid broader shifts toward AI, cloud software and electric vehicle growth themes.
2. TuneLab Collaboration Expands Lilly R&D Platform
Lilly’s TuneLab platform entered a strategic agreement with Charles River Laboratories to integrate nonclinical testing services into its AI/ML drug discovery ecosystem. Participating biotechs will contribute proprietary data via federated learning to refine predictive models, while Charles River standardizes testing protocols to accelerate candidate selection and validation.
3. Novo Nordisk’s Obesity Research Intensifies Competition
The Novo Nordisk Foundation committed 450 million Danish kroner over six years to launch the CardioMetabolic Bridge network, aiming to translate academic obesity and metabolic disease research into therapies.
