Armstrong installs Ultima Templok ceiling system in Nixon Park Nature Center renovation
AWI•Ultima Templok installed in York County renovation
Armstrong supplied Ultima Templok energy-saving ceiling tiles and grid for York County’s renovation of the 20,000-square-foot Nixon Park Nature Center.
Work started in fall 2025 to address temperature and humidity issues tied to aging HVAC systems across exhibit, classroom, and office areas.
The renovated facility reopened in May 2026, targeting improved thermal comfort, HVAC efficiency, and operating cost reductions.
A Ryan LLC study cited in the project materials assessed whether Templok tiles could qualify for IRC Section 48E investment tax credits.
Project partners included McClure Company, an energy services firm that structured the renovation as an energy-efficiency upgrade.
