Artelo Biosciences filed a provisional patent application covering ART27.13 for obesity as a standalone treatment or with GLP-1 drugs.
Results were already presented from a nonclinical obese-mouse study, with additional findings disclosed following data released on Sept. 16, 2026.
Mouse study showed stronger results with semaglutide
ART27.13 showed meaningful weight-loss activity alone, with stronger results when combined with semaglutide.
The combination also improved metabolic markers and showed a bone-health signal not seen in other study groups.
