ASML Joins $11 Billion MoU to Equip Tata’s 300mm Fab in Gujarat
Tata Electronics and ASML signed an MoU to support a $11bn, 300mm semiconductor fab in Dholera, Gujarat, targeting India’s first 300mm facility. ASML will supply advanced lithography equipment and collaborate on workforce development, supply chain expansion and research to enable chip production for automotive, mobile and AI sectors.
1. MoU for $11bn 300mm Fab
Tata Electronics and ASML have signed a memorandum of understanding to support development of a $11bn, 300mm semiconductor fabrication facility in Dholera, Gujarat, with the goal of establishing India’s first commercial 300mm fab.
2. ASML’s Equipment and Collaboration
ASML will provide advanced lithography systems and solutions, partnering with Tata Electronics on workforce development, supply chain expansion and joint research to ensure successful operationalisation and scale-up of the Dholera facility.
3. Facility Production Scope
The Dholera fab is being designed to produce chips for automotive, mobile devices and AI applications, aiming to serve both domestic and international customers once construction and tooling are complete.
