Quantum Leap Energy signs uranium conversion research agreement
ASP Isotopes unit Quantum Leap Energy signed a research agreement with Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station to advance uranium conversion technology.
Work targets commercial production of high-purity uranium hexafluoride (UF6), a key feedstock for the nuclear fuel enrichment supply chain.
Research will collect reaction data to improve efficiency, lower costs, support modeling, scale-up, process design, and commercialization of conversion pathways.
The project aims to strengthen domestic conversion capacity as the U.S. has one operating commercial uranium conversion facility.
