Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF: Asset Advisors Trims 2.9% Stake as Cerity Partners Adds 18%

Asset Advisors Investment Management cut its position in Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF by 2.9% to 2,642,822 shares, representing 6.8% of its portfolio valued at $72.15 million at quarter-end. Cerity Partners LLC raised its SCHD holdings by 18.0% to 6,599,938 shares worth $180.18 million.

1. Institutional Investor Adjusts SCHD Stake

Asset Advisors Investment Management LLC trimmed its position in the Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF by 2.9% in the third quarter, reducing its holdings by 79,563 shares to a total of 2,642,822 shares. Following the sale, SCHD represents approximately 6.8% of Asset Advisors’ overall portfolio, making it the firm’s third-largest holding. As of quarter end, the position was valued at roughly $72.1 million, accounting for 0.10% of the ETF’s total shares outstanding.

2. Hedge Funds Rebasing Portfolios Around SCHD

Several other asset managers made material changes to their SCHD allocations during the same period. MassMutual Private Wealth & Trust FSB increased its SCHD stake by 68.9%, adding 26,200 shares to bring its total to 64,225. Cerity Partners LLC boosted its allocation by 18.0%, acquiring 1,005,469 additional shares to reach 6,599,938. Galvin Gaustad & Stein LLC and Barry Investment Advisors LLC raised their positions by 8.4% and 8.8%, respectively, while Capital & Planning LLC nearly doubled its exposure with a 92.4% increase.
