AST SpaceMobile expanded its European rollout, starting network integration testing for satellite-to-smartphone cellular broadband across multiple countries.
Testing is underway with major operators including Vodafone, Orange, Telefónica and Deutsche Telekom, leveraging Satellite Connect Europe’s gateway infrastructure.
The program supports deployment of the BlueBird satellite constellation, targeting direct connectivity to standard smartphones using 3GPP network integration.

The company cited work with nearly 60 mobile network operators globally, covering more than 3 billion existing subscribers.
AST SpaceMobile said its Block 1 BlueBird satellites reached 98.9 Mbps peak download speeds directly to standard smartphones.
