Astorg completed the acquisition of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Microbiology business, creating an independent microbiology diagnostics company.
The business supplies diagnostic consumables and equipment for microbiological testing across clinical, food safety, and pharmaceutical markets.
Operations span more than 15,000 customers in over 100 countries, with about 2,400 employees across 13 manufacturing and R&D sites.
Dirk Bontridder was appointed CEO to lead the new company’s next growth phase under Astorg ownership.
