AZN•AstraZeneca says AI is not expected to cut jobs
LONDON, July 27 (Reuters) - AstraZeneca Chief Financial Officer Aradhana Sarin does not expect AI use to directly lead to job cuts at the drugmaker because the company continues to grow rapidly, she said on Monday after the company reported better than expected second-quarter profits.
Chief Executive Pascal Soriot then said: "I personally think that this story about AI killing jobs is a bit of a fake story."
Soriot added that AI helps employees produce more and higher-quality work.
