ASUR reported total passenger traffic for March 2026 reached 6.587 million, up 0.6% year-on-year. Colombian operations saw 12.5% growth (12.3% domestic, 13.2% international), while Mexico declined 2.4% (-0.1% domestic, -4.0% international) and Puerto Rico fell 2.3% (-2.7% domestic, +1.0% international).

1. Overall March Passenger Traffic

ASUR recorded 6.587 million total passengers in March 2026, a 0.6% increase from the prior year’s 6.546 million. The comparison incorporates the shift of Easter week into late March this year versus mid-April last year.

2. Strong Growth in Colombia

Colombian airports handled 1.485 million passengers, up 12.5%. Domestic traffic rose 12.3% to 1.146 million, while international traffic climbed 13.2% to 339,260 boardings, driven by both leisure and business travel gains.

3. Mexico and Puerto Rico Traffic Trends

Mexico’s 3.809 million March passengers declined 2.4%, with domestic down 0.1% (1.591 million) and international down 4.0% (2.218 million). Puerto Rico saw 1.293 million travelers (-2.3%), as domestic traffic fell 2.7% to 1.157 million while international traffic edged up 1.0% to 135,723.
