AT&T rises after strong Q2 wireless subscriber growth
T•AT&T shares rise on stronger-than-expected wireless additions
Shares of telecom provider AT&T rose 3.3% to $23 in premarket trading after the company reported strong second-quarter wireless subscriber growth.
AT&T added 432,000 net postpaid phone subscribers in the second quarter, topping the FactSet estimate of 338,500.
The company said second-quarter adjusted earnings per share were 65 cents, beating the 59-cent estimate compiled by LSEG. Revenue came in at $31.6 billion, largely in line with the $31.8 billion estimate.
Up to the last close, the stock was down 10.4% year to date.
