aTyr rises as FDA aligns on late-stage lung disease study plan
ATYR•aTyr Pharma said the FDA agreed on the protocol for a planned late-stage efzofitimod study in pulmonary sarcoidosis. The global study will enroll about 372 patients, with study-related activities expected to begin in Q4 2026.

The company said the study will compare efzofitimod with placebo, with improved lung function as its main goal and respiratory symptoms and quality of life as key secondary goals. aTyr expects to pursue U.S. and European regulatory submissions and said further development will require additional funding through equity, debt, partnerships or licensing deals.
