Aurinia Launches PRESERVE Trial Testing LUPKYNIS with Three Biologics
AUPH•Aurinia initiated PRESERVE, a multi-arm clinical study evaluating LUPKYNIS combined with belimumab, obinutuzumab or anifrolumab in patients with active lupus nephritis. The trial will assess safety and efficacy across three combination regimens to determine potential improvements in renal response and immunologic outcomes.
1. PRESERVE Study Launch
On July 6, 2026, Aurinia initiated its PRESERVE trial, a multi-arm clinical study enrolling patients with active lupus nephritis to evaluate LUPKYNIS in novel combination regimens.
2. Combination Regimens Explored
The study comprises three treatment arms pairing LUPKYNIS with belimumab, obinutuzumab or anifrolumab to evaluate differences in renal response rates, proteinuria reduction and immunologic biomarkers.
3. Strategic Implications for Aurinia
Successful safety and efficacy outcomes could position LUPKYNIS as a backbone therapy in lupus nephritis, expand Aurinia’s market opportunity and enhance the company’s late-stage development pipeline.
