ADP has been named by FORTUNE® magazine as one of the “World’s Most Admired Companies” for the 20th straight year, underscoring its sustained leadership in HR and payroll solutions. The ranking evaluates performance across product and service quality, global business effectiveness and innovation. FORTUNE collaborated with Korn Ferry to survey executives, directors and analysts at 685 firms in 29 countries, selecting the top half of approximately 1,500 companies—those with revenues of at least $10 billion or among the 1,000 largest U.S. firms—for inclusion. Maria Black, ADP’s president and CEO, highlighted the company’s commitment to applying AI-driven insights to amplify human creativity, noting that more than 1.1 million clients across 140+ countries rely on its platforms. This recognition bolsters ADP’s reputation and could drive increased adoption of its integrated HR and payroll offerings.

2. Preliminary NER Pulse Shows Modest Year-End Hiring Pullback

ADP’s NER Pulse, a weekly update to its National Employment Report, estimated that U.S. private employers added an average of 8,000 jobs per week for the four weeks ending December 27, 2025. That figure represents a slowdown from the 11,250 weekly average in the prior period ending December 20. The full four-week moving average series included highs of 13,250 jobs (week ending November 29) and lows of –11,750 jobs (week ending November 8), reflecting seasonal volatility. These seasonally adjusted estimates, based on ADP’s high-frequency payroll data with a two-week lag, offer real-time insight into labor market trends. Investors may view the moderation in hiring as an early signal of businesses pacing workforce expansion into 2026. The next NER Pulse will be published on January 27, 2026 at 8:15 a.m. ET.
