Avalo reports wider Q2 loss and higher R&D spending
Avalo Therapeutics posted a Q2 net loss of $36.4 million, widening from $20.8 million a year earlier.
R&D expense rose to $23.4 million from $14.1 million, due to a $10 million abdakibart development milestone and hidradenitis suppurativa program costs.
G&A expense climbed to $8.1 million from $5.2 million, mainly on higher stock-based compensation.
Cash, cash equivalents and investments totaled $472.2 million at June 30, expected to fund operations into 2029.
Plans call for a registrational Phase 3 program of abdakibart in hidradenitis suppurativa in H1 2027; AVTX-010 IND filing targeted in H1 2027.
