1. Outlook and results
Avis Budget Group expects 2026 adjusted EBITDA of approximately $850 million, the low end of its July guidance range, and fourth-quarter adjusted EBITDA of approximately $165 million, up from $5 million a year earlier. The company expects low-single-digit quarterly revenue growth as higher revenue per day more than offsets declining rental days. Third-quarter adjusted EBITDA fell 8% to $513 million, roughly $50 million below expectations, reflecting weaker demand and slow cost adjustments. Monthly per-unit fleet costs are projected at $310–$320 for the fourth quarter, while the full-year outlook remains $315–$325.
