Avista began Public Safety Power Shutoffs around 1 p.m. Saturday in select service areas due to elevated wildfire risk.
Outages cover parts of north Spokane, Indian Trail/Five Mile, Nine Mile Falls, Mead, South Hill, Ford/Tumtum, West Clarkston/Dry Creek, and Kamiah.
Service will remain off until conditions improve, then crews will inspect lines before restoration. Outages may extend beyond 24 hours.
