AVA•Power restoration continues after wildfire damage
Avista says it expanded power restoration work as wildfire containment improved access to damaged electric and gas infrastructure across the Inland Northwest.
About 1,070 customers in the greater Spokane area remained without electricity, down from 2,900 on Tuesday.
Crews reached additional areas near the Autumn Lane Fire northwest of Nine Mile Falls; repair work continued in Fairview and Indian Trail.
Natural gas relights were targeted to start later this week, pending safe access, system inspections, repairs and repressurization.
