Axon rolls out corrections technology deployments across four US states
AXON•Axon announced corrections technology deployments in New York, Ohio, Maryland and North Carolina. New York’s connected platform covers 42 facilities and 15,000 officers, while a Maryland trial cut staff assaults 40% in August.
1. State deployments
New York’s Department of Corrections and Community Supervision rolled out Axon’s connected platform across 42 facilities, covering 15,000 officers, with additional AI tools under testing. Maryland’s Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services began adopting Body 4 cameras across 17 facilities after a trial that cut staff assaults 40% in August. North Carolina expanded purchases of TASER 10 weapons, Body 4 cameras, Fusus operations software, Dedrone systems and Skydio drones.
