Azitra reports ex vivo data showing repeat-dose penetration of filaggrin ingredient for anti-wrinkle program ATR-COSF
AZTR•Elasticity and safety findings
Elasticity rose dose-dependently at 20 hours, from 1.6x at 0.09% w/w to 4.4x at 7.5% w/w in hydrogel.
A 0.28% w/w formulation restored elasticity to levels historically seen in healthy skin in the ex vivo abdominoplasty model.
Safety testing under standardized guidelines found the 2% supernatant hydrogel non-irritating and non-corrosive to skin and eyes; human study planning continues.
Ex vivo skin data support ATR-COSF program
Azitra reported ex vivo human skin studies supporting its ATR-COSF cosmetic program using an engineered S. epidermidis supernatant with rHDfilaggrin.
Repeat-dose testing showed higher rHDfilaggrin delivery into the stratum granulosum versus prior single-dose work, with hydrogel formulation improving distribution.
