Azitra's ATR-COSF reduces wrinkle appearance by about 50% in ex vivo skin study
AZTR•Azitra said a single 2% dose of ATR-COSF reduced fine lines and wrinkles by approximately 50% after 48 hours in ex vivo dorsal skin samples. The company plans a first-in-human study of the 4% formulation in about 30 participants, with initial results expected by year-end 2026.
1. Ex vivo skin results
Azitra reported that ATR-COSF reduced fine lines and wrinkles approximately 50% at 48 hours after a single 2% dose in ex vivo dorsal skin samples, while preserving elasticity. Hydrogel alone showed declining elasticity and approximately 20% worsening in wrinkles. In face-lift skin samples, the 4% formulation improved all measured elasticity parameters at six hours, outperforming the 2% formulation and hydrogel.
2. Planned human study
Azitra plans a first-in-human study of 4% ATR-COSF in approximately 30 participants, with initial results expected by year-end 2026.
