Baker Hughes Secures 25 Generators Order for AI Data Center, Boosting 1.21 GW Capacity
Baker Hughes won a contract to supply 25 BRUSH generators to Boom Supersonic’s AI data center, adding to six earlier units for a total of 31 generators delivering 1.21 GW of power. Deliveries commence mid-2026 through 2028 as Baker Hughes aims for $3 billion in data center orders between 2025 and 2027.

Baker Hughes secured an award to supply 25 BRUSH Power Generation electric generators to Boom Supersonic for its AI data center infrastructure. This follows a prior six‐unit agreement, bringing the combined total to 31 generators capable of delivering 1.21 GW of on-site electricity.
2. Delivery Schedule and Infrastructure Integration
Deliveries of the 25 new generators are scheduled to begin in mid-2026 and will continue through 2028. The units will be paired with Boom Supersonic’s 42 MW Superpower natural gas turbines to support distributed power needs for Crusoe, the anchor customer.
3. Strategic Data Center Focus
Baker Hughes has set a goal to book $3 billion in data center orders between 2025 and 2027, reflecting a strategic shift toward high-growth AI and high-performance computing infrastructure alongside its traditional oil and gas portfolio.
