Baker Hughes has secured a 13-year life cycle services agreement with Nigeria LNG to maintain turbomachinery at the Bonny Island liquefaction facility, extending a partnership that spans over 20 years.
Under the contract, Baker Hughes will service four heavy-duty gas turbines with corresponding centrifugal compressors and two power generation turbines using a local engineering team, supplemented by iCenter digital services via the Cordant platform for remote diagnostics and improved equipment reliability.
The agreement supports the new Train 7 LNG project, which will raise Nigeria LNG's production capacity from 22 million to 30 million tonnes per annum, bolstering the company's position among top global LNG producers and leveraging Baker Hughes' life cycle expertise for long-term operations.
