Bank of America Backs Five-Stop #IAmSomebody Tour During FIFA World Cup
BAC•Bank of America is delivering a five-stop #IAmSomebody Tour with Street Child United across Tacoma, Miami, Toronto, Washington, D.C. and New York during the FIFA World Cup 2026, hosting youth assemblies, Soccer Forward coaching and Indigenous tournaments to amplify street-connected youth advocacy. The campaign builds on the May 28-team Street Child World Cup in Mexico City and will culminate with presentation of a Youth Charter of Demands at the United Nations.
1. Partnership with Street Child United
Bank of America has partnered with Street Child United, the Official Bank of FIFA World Cup 2026™, to deliver the #IAmSomebody Tour across five North American cities. The tour leverages BofA’s Sports with Us platform to expand youth access and development, building on the success of the May Street Child World Cup in Mexico City where 28 teams of street-connected young people competed and advocated for policy change.
2. Tour Programming and Community Engagement
The tour began June 19 in Tacoma with an Indigenous Youth Soccer Tournament hosted with the Puyallup Tribe, featuring eight teams and three days of football and advocacy. Upcoming stops include a Miami roundtable with Sir David Beckham, a Toronto town hall and match with Team Canada, a Washington, D.C. community soccer activation and British Embassy event, and a New York activation on newly opened Bank of America Fields in Manhattan.
3. Culmination and Charter Presentation
In mid-July, the tour will conclude at the United Nations where SCU Young Leaders will present the Street Child World Cup Charter of Demands, a youth-led call for action on the rights of 150 million street-connected young people globally. This presentation aims to secure commitments from governments and institutions to address homelessness and housing insecurity through sport-driven advocacy.
