Bank of Greece: June current account deficit nearly halves to EUR 602.8 million

Bank of Greece reported June 2026 current account deficit nearly halved year on year to €602.8 million.
- Goods deficit narrowed as exports rose 27.5% while imports increased 7.3%; non-oil exports climbed 22.3%.
- Services surplus edged lower; non-resident arrivals increased 6.9% while receipts rose 1.2%.
- First-half current account deficit widened about €1 billion to €9.5 billion despite exports up 16.1% against imports up 4.5%.
- Reserve assets rose to €19.5 billion at end-June from €15.3 billion a year earlier.
